The M-AXIS V1.0 system can be broken down into three main parts:
- One or two Servers (for redundant mode)
- On or Access Terminals (Sales Ticket, Management, Diagnostics, etc.)
- Hardware Server for devices control.
The Server is the heart of this system, it manages all the data passing over the network. Its main function is to compare, to memorize, and authorize all actions and transactions, the system, which is the only decision-maker. He is the only guarantor of the continuity of data exchanged on the network, so why a binomial redundant operation was planned for this flag.
The Terminal Access, when it used interface for the Server, with the outside world. Its main function is to find and configure the Server, either in terms of network management, but also and above all, for all the acts of trade generated by the latter. To access the Server, with a terminal, you must have a user name and a valid password, without which, any connection is impossible. In addition, each user is attached a level of competence network (access level). A Terminal not only provides access features defined by the user level, which can be accessed from any Terminal, the functions that you are allowed, and only to them. This allows great flexibility, and avoids dedicate workstations, a single spot.
The Hardware Server, it monitors the various mechanical access. It makes reading the access card, whether optical, magnetic, or HF (no physical contact), and queries the server for its validity. In the case of a positive verification, it triggers the opening of the body of access (door turnstile, fence, etc. - or it simply prohibits access, and may trigger an alarm.

This is a great advantage for the system M-Axis. Indeed, no "exotic" material is required. It works perfectly with conventional PC, either for the different Servers, as for the Terminals. The connecting scheme different elements, goes far, as a simple local standard area network, which allows to adapt the system M-Axis to an existing network of this type. |
